They're in the same universe yes! the characters mention the events of Zero Believers Goddess happening as they're countries (or continents?) apart. I haven't read ZBG myself but other readers on NU have confirmed that they're in the same universe.

Thank you for confirming they're both in the same universe! This has been eating at me since the very first chapter since there's no related tab on here and different sites say different things.

And you should check out Zero Believers Goddess. I've only read the manga, but I've found it quite good.

I haven't read the source material for this manga, but this fallen queen/demon queen lady barely exists at all in this story. At this point I have to wonder why she was introduced at all in the beginning if she has no role to play. Even if she becomes important later, why not introduce her then? Right now she seems to serve no purpose other than to mislead readers of the first chapter. When I read the first chapter, I was under the impression she'd be the main heroine. Now, seven chapters in, I feel they could erase her from the story and nothing would change.
