Enjoyed it as much as one can a filler. Mostly happy it wasn't gushing over the island's culture.

I really enjoyed the show Babylon 5. There are a lot of parts that stuck with me since it was aired. One line in particular about how the swedish meatball is a universal constant. For some reason, every alien culture across the universe has made their own "swedish meatball." Like that, every world in manga has their own Japanese culture.

A lot of it recently. There is character progression at times. Even the chapters about them smuggling sugar showed character traits and motivations. This was mentioning chopsticks, seiza being uncomfortable, and a lot of effort of setting up a pillow fight. Might be something if it was mentioned who put the effort into getting the extra futons and pillows.

Eventually something will happen though. Thankfully this isn't Ranma 1/2. (I will complain about that "ending" till Heat Death.)

I feel like it may have been missed, but I do appreciate how much work goes into making such a good localized version of the series.

I really want to see when the girl shows up but this arc will never end. We still gotta source up miso, soy sauce, rice, beans, mochi, katanas, talking katanas, gacha balls, vending machines, sake, school festivals, uma musumes, chinchin festivals, yakuzas, shrine maidens, and finally, mangas. Which contain japanese culture arcs, where they go looking for miso, soy sauce...

I mean, it's just ground meat rolled into a ball with some additional ingredients for binding and flavour. Not exactly complex.

Have they skipped the Seiza scene? Noticing the Proprietress sitting in Seiza, it made Alyusha, Ilya, Irvine, and Mort curious. Toriela invited them to try it while smiling knowing what's about to happen, the company members also have a smile on their face. Iirc, they were impressed by how compact the sitting position was, little did they know the side effects of sitting for long like that. Alfred knew but didn't warn them, he could've tried it like them and knew the technique to sit for long but decides to not join and make excuses causing Tori to feel disappointed.

This kinda thing always seems like some sort of cultural imperialism to me.
Do other cultures do it in their isekai?
It would be hard for me to go "See, I've invented 'meat with potatoes and sauce', bask in its glory!" or "Behold! The Sandwich!" with a straight face.
...I guess some people might be impressed by pickles as a food storage technology?
