Huh, this isn't as conclusive as I'd hoped for and most of the important questions are unanswered but I think I did okay when guessing in part 2. But in retrospect "the real customer is an entity in the sky who the bows are respecting and humans are the product" was made pretty blatant, it would have been nice to see confirmation on the specifics.

The way I read it..and not sure if I'm correct..is that the Tokyo Black Party usually take people as tribute for their dark benefactor, the Black Sun. One day the idol got stolen but with the help of Q, they got it back and Q suggests they do the human billboard thing for a greater tribute..from what I gathered, Q set the TBP up..probably having only targeting TBP members.

I could be wrong.

That doll looks familiar.

Well, you should not forget that the German branch of the Black Sun Society was itself based off of the Tibetan Black Sun faction (which is a Left-hand path variant of Vajrayana, which itself is an intense Buddhist doctrine of spiritual advancement through crisis). It's really a Global Esoteric Tradition that has historically manifested in more negative or positive formats, but ultimately with the idea of a small core of elite spiritualists who manipulate/lead the world to their own ends. This fictional branch of the Black Sun Society seems to be a primarily Japanese off-shoot or native variant in collaboration with a Germanic.

Of course, IRL, the National Socialist Occultist institutions of Asia and Europe were almost entirely supplanted (meaning, exterminated and replaced) at the elite level by the more Abrahamic-Platonic Occultist Networks after the war (these are the ones that animated the British and later joint Anglo Empires), although the understanding of metaphysics and sacrifice are ultimately shared by them all and look pretty similar in practice.

So for anyone whose as confused as I was, fat lady and ze German are both part q as well, but they are the faction who don't like "her" tho idk if they r talking about kokyurou or the head researcher

And as shown in that town in the arc the dude died, even tho greys all prey on humanity it doesn't mean they are allies and in fact can hate each other

And similarly here, the black Tokyo cult and q are clearly evil but the former mistook that as they are allies and so got fucked when they listened to q and looked at the back of the billboards

I like the usage of red here to signify the presence of the god—the fact that the "tribute" character is marked in red gives you a small chance to anticipate the twist at the end (that the man who hired them, the man in the shirt, is one of the sacrifices).

Again the author likes to press on the "ineffability of gods" button—we leave the conclusion totally wide-open, without a clue about who this deity is, what it's going to do with the man speaking to it, and so on. One thing's for sure: doing all those sacrifices to a deity you don't even trust is a bad idea.

Oh i so adore the mix of 'messages to produce random reactions' with the cursed image, with the added note of forming the kanji with their bows..... and a very satisfying twist around that the Smug Cult was absolutely in no way whatsoever immune. Possibly quite the opposite, even.

In the midst of all these raising over-arching plot threads, I appreciate getting one with this kind of kuroame bitter satisfaction. All timer manga.
