I think it was a translation error. When Spica called for the suspects, "oneesama" was used for the lawyer, even though he's clearly male.

Seems too convoluted, yet possible.
But maybe it's simpler: The police woman is another person the MILF is tricking/seducing.
She could easily be the one doing the murders now the MILF is on prison, having potentially more knowledge to avoid being discovered. I assume she is a simp/Stan of the MILF who is killing any man that gets too close to her. Maybe that's also the reason they both have short hair by the second visit, because she cut it wanting to look like the MILF.
It's clearer after noticing that in the previous chapters both the MILF and the police woman had long hair arranged in a ponytail exactly the same way, like one is clearly imitating the other style.
