Ofcourse when you hear that just move-on, don't get hung-up on it. It'll break you
character development turns her into tomboy girl to the best girl
I'd also dig it if this was her learning to change for her own sake - finding the best version of herself, the one that makes her happiest, independent of the feelings/views of others, and this becomes Akira's self-actualization arc that doesn't involve chasing romance. What's supposed to be the lesson learned here? changing her whole image because she wants to, even though she tried that back in chapter 11-12 and he said she was cute not because of how she acted but because of how hard she tried as her usual self.
So what happens now, she gets popular and he only acknowledges his feelings out of jealously?
At this point I would be happy for this to be a lesson on how first crushes don't always work out rather than whatever the hell is going on lol
I mean we go from this

The first attempt was to change to be cuter in the eyes of her crush, which obviously didn't work very well. The second attempt is (implied, or at least how I inferred it) to change to be more confident, regardless of what others think of her. The earlier chapters sort of showed that she doesn't initially like being seen as a tomboy, because it "wasn't cute". But because she doesn't really look that much different in the last pages, and the fact that she's popular among the girls too sort of implies that she just doubles down on doing what she likes to do (being a very sporty girl), which is what the guy actually likes about her. And people around her just caught on.What's supposed to be the lesson learned here? changing her whole image because she wants to, even though she tried that back in chapter 11-12 and he said she was cute not because of how she acted but because of how hard she tried as her usual self.

I feel like it’s gonna be an odd combination of both, cause they showed her at the end crushing it in badminton while looking like a cuter design? So yeah it’ll be a combo that appeals to everyone, it’s just on our friend to notice it and realize how he feels. The first attempt was to change to be cuter in the eyes of her crush, which obviously didn't work very well. Mhm. In a very roundabout way, Akira is becoming what Tsukimi said to her back in ch 12.I feel like it’s gonna be an odd combination of both, cause they showed her at the end crushing it in badminton while looking like a cuter design? What's the timeskip means? Did they just suddenly stop hanging out together?
I read it as she had to actually fully find herself, first and foremost. Every other time she was changing with him in mind; this time, she's fully actualizing the best version of her, for her.But if you say that this time around it isn‘t about being cute but more so about being confident and true to one‘s self, then why can‘t she be more confident about him? Turning this into "every guy instantly noticed so now, his fault, he needs to feel like shit and jealous to finally do something“ when their relationship was perfectly fine for their age is kinda sad.
Also, I might’ve misunderstood but was that actually a 2 week time skip? And she somehow didn‘t interact with him at all but only focused on self improvement and becoming popular? Right after all that progress?
Shit must sting, poor schmuck.
It'll be the best outcome from this chapter. Else, I'll be dissapointed if she was going by every lenght just for to be noticed by himI read it as she had to actually fully find herself, first and foremost.
