Like this girl who meets up with Asmodeus at the end of the chapter, have we seen her before the last couple chapters with the plan to catch Tokushige in the act? I do not recognize her at all

This girl is the part timer Asuka (Tokushige's little sister) having trouble with which causes her to quit. Shortly after she quit, she got kidnapped and raped by another group of people that seems to be lead by the dude in Chapter 56. Then this group offer her to Tokushige in exchange for Azusa, which later found by MC & Asuka in Chapter 54.

I dont think mc was acting sensibly this chapter and I think that was exactly What the author wanted

his behavior toward the brainwashed girl not only shows that he’s basically as bad as his villain but also his own frustration. He feels unfulfilled from this entire revenge plot And he’s lashing out at the only person he feels he can take it out on. He’s basically the equivalent of a guy beating his wife after a bad day at work. hes scum and meant to be scum.

he could go check on his actual girlfriend or his childhood friend but seeing them means addressing his own guilt and responsibility for all this, so hes just pretending that abandoning them is for their own good

Yep Confinement King's protagonist at least focuses on his revenge. Though the bullying is the weak spot in that series and the demons reasons for helping are explained. This series MC is just dumb about everything. I'm hoping he ends up going full retard villain by the end. Or his childhood friend hates him for not saving her and becomes his downfall.

In chapter 57 he went to Azusa's house and wanted to talk to her, but she answered from her bedroom door for him to leave. On the first page of the first chapter, it shows Sakuraba with all of them.
