JP Trope #??: Feeling/accepting guilt for a death that you're not actually responsible for. Also, no one bothers to explain what actually happened for years to that related person goes on revenge tour, only to find out very late that their desire for revenge is completely misplaced.

Let's rather assume instead of her being dead, she's only thought of being dead because for certain circumstances led to that belief that even she believes it, but rather she survived but has now become something akin to Sarah Kerrigan/Queen of Blades (on the opposite side of Saints).
So while it may have been her older sister or so, Emi has a comparison to her as being a Princess of Dragons or whatever their specifically called but a Saint.

I've seen this in enough manga and novels, that I'm wondering if the trope isn't about gaslighting the next of kin, so that they seek revenge against the non-guilty party. You know, instead of being about a misunderstanding.

have you guys noticed that the girl's love tag has been removed? is it then safe to say that it's not yuri?

The source light novels are tagged as yuri on BookWalker (Kadokawa's ebook store). Of course that's not reliable all the time (on top of "yuri" being a somewhat subjective category), but I don't think treating Mangadex as more reliable makes much sense. Over here, any rando can get the tags changed with a report, only the mods get to see the reasoning they use in that report, and there is no guarantee that that rando has the same taste in yuri as you do.

Based on just the first volume of the manga version, it can be predicted that this series will not feature as much lesbian romance as MagiRevo (by the same author). On the other hand, relationships between female characters still drive the plot. While the Ange/Tia/Jessica triangle so far only involves "friendships", the fact that Tia allegedly killed Jessica and Ange tried to kill Tia to avenge Jessica's death lends it a certain intensity that I tend to personally accept as a kind of yuri, but I know others draw the line more strictly at romance.

Anyway, I would not fault anyone for dropping this if they wanted yuri romance specifically, but either way I think people should rely more on their personal intuition to make that decision. If you really want to rely on tags, the actually official tags (from the publisher/author) are still more stable since they're not subject to interference from unaccountable users like Mangadex's tagging system is.
