Thunder's got a cringey add-on to the synopsis but that aside
i'd be lying if i said the Volume 2 cover definitely didn't grab my attention
but the way events transpire sends mixed messages

I'm not a believer in one's ability to merely "turn off their brain," its a matter of how much you can tolerate/ ignore before the head scratching starts cutting up your scalp and how much further you're willing to go from there for the sake of wasting time.
the MC is a yung buck who's lived out his entire yung buck adult life having the value of his labor blatantly robbed from him, he manages this kind of lifestyle by holding onto the little bit of solace he finds in the village chief's gratitude until one day he finds out the truth.
- kinda like when you work 12 hrs a day 6 days a week for 2 weeks on a massive warehouse project, earning the company millions, but only get overrated OT, crippled body, cheap thanks and an even cheaper pizza party at best as your bosses gleefully go over how much more the company made that year.
'round chapter 10 a witch who has this same coping mechanism 10x, is repeatedly taken for a ride by the MC and its played off in a comedic fashion as she devolves into a standard Utsu-dere template. this is growth?
Even worse, this entire scenario shouldn't have transpired at all. From the Village to his first Party Quest to traveling the Open Marketplace, the MC sees both the direct and indirect effects that the iron grip the Alchemist Association's monopoly has on the main town and its surrounding villages. IG without that blind faith he woulda never gotten +1 FMC and the Ruins Arsenal data (no adventurers would have been at risk because the MC was the primary target). How did he even come to the conclusion the apple pie was worth appraising? Man shouldn't have made it this far
Currency... basically even though Civilization did a hard reset at some point Money runs on the same stupid inflation numbers that is present in most isekais, with top tier skill books being worth millions on millions (big numbers go brrrr)
-either we get stupid numbers or stupid protagonists that feel the need to tell the audience how much [insert thing] is worth if translated to their country's currency.
We are introduced to other top ranking "Triple Star" parties, but the party leaders effectively become orbiters of our MC's party
-we don't see their respective party members till 6~ chapters into the joint expedition quest and they basically look and act subhuman (the female party less so)
-which is strange because the big introduction of their leaders was a minor conflict where they were openly trying to poach the MC, asserting that his current party members were doing a disservice to society by having him bound to them... Just saying, you'd think there'd be as much care put into the design of the party members as the design of the failed receptionist that botched the MC's first quest evaluation and nearly got his party killed.
2/10 Themes/ Plot: For every lesson learned there's a plot development that leads to undoing it
2/10 Characters: MC's got a broken ability (whats new) the 2 FMCs were gutter tier and, after buying/ learning 2 skill books on the MC's dime, are suddenly given undue recognition as being worthy of standing back to back with the MC by other top tier party leaders... If skill books make that much of a difference then... nvm
2/10 Antagonists: SAO quality antagonists here, 50% less grapey enough said
6~/10 Art: Art Style has minimal shading but nice all in all imo and...

Rithar Scans and the likes of them can't even properly use AI translation as most of their "team" can't speak English in the first place. On top of that, there is absolutely no PR or QC. Rather than visiting their website or worse, paying them; do what they do and use the free raws on the web and AI translation yourselves.
