physically cringed when i read this page; the rest was nice but this is such a common incel/'nice guy' talking point (i.e. "all men are pigs except for me lol") that i died a little and then burst out laughing at how absurd her reaction is in that context

Hell, idk if that has a special meaning on japan but that guy is stupid af if he took that as leading him on lol.

Well, all in all her situation is a lot more believable than other I've read.
Didn’t find anything about sewing, but according to Google ai (yeah not gonna research since it’s dead of night over here)

The first 3 buttons on a boys uniform for junior high or high school represents someone/have a meaning

1st represents himself, the 2nd represents the person most beloved to you, and the 3rd represents a best friend “and so on”

So idk which one FMC sewed, but if it’s the second one that makes sort of sense? I’m still confused how the boyfriend thought it meant leading on

THANK YOU FOR THE CHAPTER @Cecey55

From the context, I don't think there was any special meaning. It's pretty common for young boys to mistake a girl being platonically nice to them for them being romantically interested. Plus if she has a reputation for stealing men and having lots of boyfriends, he might have jumped to conclusions.

He wasn't even saying "all men are pigs except for me." He was expressing empathy for what happened to her because not only was she was nearly assaulted by a guy who thought he was entitled to her after breaking up with his GF over an assumption, but the teacher victim-blamed her by believing the rumors that she had gone after her friend's boyfriend.

He even says in the LITERAL subtext "Some pain can only be understood by those who experienced it."

Is manga just intentionally showing braindead kids or are children in Japan actually that dumb? Even a five year oid would realize that sewing someone's button back on has nothing to do with flirting.

It’s only leading on if she wouldn’t do such things to anyone else.

as far as i know you gift the 2nd Button to the Girl you like when you graduate.

Other than that.. there is really nothing to it.

The difference between her in the wn illustrations and the manga is huge.
