I'm type of person... who kinda love natural approach like this, or to be exact in this entire series. Well it's like, both of them is close, they give affection each other, so close that it's like a lover but it's not; they not even refused, or maybe hide it to friends, families, and others; they maybe feels "oh maybe we're mutual" but afraid to confess bcs what if they get rejected and this relationship will changes. So they basically already love each other, but they didn't level up their relationship status, just "maybe it's fine like this".

I think right now they feel comfortable with each other. They know they've forged a bond that goes deeper than friendship. Of course, both will call it just that, friendship, 'cause they are afraid that any faux pas, any misunderstanding, even any change on their relationship may shatter what they have.
