Okay, this is definitely very different from the novel. From the demon who should have died at Sasha's hands in the cave instead of Haise's, to that turtle, to this scene where Haise (the main character) is defeated or wounded while saving Sasha, and Sasha now offers him a way to return. None of this is the same as the novel.
In the novel, Haise simply wipes out thousands of enemies. There are no bosses, just thousands and thousands of random enemies. He helps or saves Sasha when she's almost dead. He gives her his coat to protect her because she's been left half-naked... and leaves for a few moments to recover. Then he returns to the battlefield and displays a power that defeats thousands of enemies as well (a Golden Aura, which is her "Awakening").
Afterwards, everyone praises Sasha, and Haise, who hates praise and fame, calmly walks off to the inn. And then... Sasha admits that he misses Haise. BUT she NEVER tells him to join the group again, because Haise always made it clear. In fact, it's just the opposite. Sasha tells him that from now on they'll be rivals... she'll create the best party, and Haise will be the most powerful independent adventurer, and that in the end, when they fulfill their dreams, they'll meet again and talk... implying that Sasha has feelings for him but doesn't want it to get in the way of their dreams (both of them).
This isn't a spoiler, because this conversation should have already happened between the two, but the manga's author has taken a different tack, I don't know why.
In the novel, everything is much slower. The protagonist never forgets what was done to him, but certain things happen that force him to relate to Sasha's Team, and little by little they begin to get closer again.
Also, as will be explained later, Tycoon and Robin never wanted him to be kicked off the team; in fact, they were super friends, and Robin even considered him like an older brother. And Sasha isn't evil; she was just stupid, thinking she was protecting him, but without realizing that in the process, she was shattering his dreams, which they had made together. The other two members are toxic assholes, basically because they love Sasha, and they saw Haise as an obstacle.
