And here we go, so tired of these villainess stories devolving into 'let's get rich by exploring others'. Let's get back to the business of revenge and political intrigue, not capitalism

I don’t like her story line.. that other president is insane and heartless.. She was willing to emotionally scare Faye, just to manipulate her.. I can’t root for them..
I'm still here to say that Irene is batshit mental and Faye needs someone like Kelly in her life, not that psycho :shamihuh:🚬

Just a thought, what if the series' title wasn't meant to be only Jolene/Hesha?

Here be a 'villainess' and a 'yandere' as well.

Faye is not much of a villainess anymore, and Irene is way too mental for a classic yandere, but she is a "yandere", I guess

Either way, I don't support this unhealthy relationship
This isn't even toxic yuri, this shit is straight up nuclear radiation :shamihuh:

Not really. If anything the focus on the stabby-stabby part tends to make people forget yanderes should have that mental aspect. It's like focusing solely on slasher films when you also have a selection of psychological horror to choose from.

With Irene, think the distinction is that she's still in her entrapment phase.

Guess this comes down to what you read since comes of as comparatively mild compared to some of the other toxic yuri stories I've encountered.

I think what makes it worse for me is the ratio of toxic to yuri. Irene isn’t the most toxic character to ever walk the earth, but she’s pretty bad and her affection for Faye seems practically nonexistent. Jolene and Hesha also took a meandering path towards romance but at least they were consistently interacting. It feels like what we’ve gotten with this side pair is Faye brooding or working, Irene showing up and Faye looking shook, Irene saying something, and then the scene ends.

I have relative faith in the author as the plot direction does seem intriguing, but I do wish some development would happen that gives Faye some romantic momentum. I don’t care who it’s with, just something that makes her more than a traumatized bystander

Says a lot that Dana seems to care more about noble infighting than the bullying of commoners.
