A twin separated by world. Two twin are supposed to born in two parallel world, but the two twin lost its pair. Since they were child that left, the two girl aware of each other existence. The girl able to communicate to each other telepathically. One girl is born in the sci-fi setting but not too far in the future, and one born in magical fantasy world.

story about each girl asking each other advice, like love life, their worry, and more (push the love more). It's kinda like Kimi no Nawa where they both aware each other existence but never actually met, but instead of distance they separated by universe.

At the climax the twin combine the power of both world, the science and magic to open the portal and finally meet each other.

Talking about twins, I have an idea too. The setting is fantasy medieval, about the twin who was born in the dark castle when the storm happened. I just have the image of a horror castle and a myth about twins bringing calamity, but I don't remember the rest of the setting. I'm sure I'm not digging it too deep.

The latter is very modern. Could see some quirky marvel character say that or a Netflix animation.

On that note modern swearing in fantasy/historical fiction is something that really annoys me. Everyone just going "fuck, shit, shit fuck and fuck fuck shit". There is a point why they are called "swears" and "curses", there is power in them. Sure, sometimes it's just a translation issue and especially if it's an official one, you know that it's just laziness from the translation team rather than the original author writing the characters so.

Would be fun to read a series about transmigrators, who constantly get in trouble due to their modern behaviour. Would take some comedy talent to make it work and research into historical taboos and adapting them into a fantasy world.

And this "twins" talk reminds me of an even older movie whose title I can't remember.
Only there is a scene where the twins are examined in separate rooms. One of them was hit on the knee to test the knee reflex, but it was the other twin in another room who performed the reflex and kicked the doctor in the ball.

This reversal gonna make it able to "hack" other's magic spell. Essentially advanced spell of debuff, instead of just weakening

No need something grand, changing the spell direction is good enough. Maybe cancelled opponent's magic calculation and code to shut down.

I've a character in mind for a story in planning, who figures out how to disguise curses as buffs. The character wouldn't've even been the first in the world to do it, but later down the line they publicly demonstrate it, which is how the world becomes aware of a loophole in the magical defenses that curses have been abusing for ages.

That's the thing

One problem I have when I think about magic concept, why curse are mostly unblockable, and usually deadly to boot. Usually only way to it overpowered it with mana or dispel it. Why it the only one unblockable magic? that mean it's must've been a same type of magic as buff and blessing since both able to be received by anyone.

You know this can make play if you make magic base system with God blessing, such as elemental God or other.
