I don't know the the future plot but isn't it obvious the pair is Treiz-kun and Baby Franz?
Baby keep saying he likes him a couple times, I think. (Can be gloss over as platonic tho.)

The last volume of the novel cover shows them together with the same pose as the first novel (along with his older brothers and new? baby nephew).

lol yeah thats because the story is about baby uke childhood and due nature of western fujo/bl fans to yaoi/BL meaning i understand why it need to be said : ) ) and (thanks god) its really slice-of-life ones lol

(well, shipping doesnt need to involve sex isnt? (i see so many westerner think like this) so i think its fine to ship them (if i ship child character/s i like my mind automatically set the romance starts when they were teen/adult so i have no problem))

Like, man just because we're shipping them doesn't mean we want them to have sexual relationship at toddlers age, why are you guys (westerner) being weird. It's a little creepy they actually able to think up sexual situation with them easily rather than the shipper.

I'm certainly expecting it's all just subtle here and there since the focus is soft Slice of Life with the MC family, but I actually like it better that way rather than the romance/relationship being the main focus. It's like... it's exactly those few mundane moments that is nice to look back on and makes you think, "oh they like each other since this chapter, when they did this"

Ooohh well said!! Yeah, yeah, I think this is something new imo. Making it slice of life while dealing with important plot point in background... all while MC still babyyy..

Usually rofan and alike will do time skip and boom! lovey dovey. Or Ml/FL just never around much since childhood arc. Or it happen after the childhood time skip.... Even though I want to know the relationship dynamic everyone around MC...

yeah, hence it sometimes feels like walking on egg shells. I'm a westener (from germany) and how they dissect words so much worse than i had with people from asian & middle east countries is amazing (usually from my own country and the US).
i think partly fault at that is the current generation just eating up whatever the internet says and don't even do bare minimum research themselves (chatgpt never counts because it does the same bird eating behavior). they call someone else's research theirs without second thoughts. that's why lines like "hear me out" or "i ship them" ended up being marked as sexual, when in truth it has nothing to do with it.
and when you try to correct them, you get branded as a predator - mistaking facts as opinions and opinions as facts. so the hell circle continues.

not saying all westerners are bad, before someone takes my words and specific experience out of context. i'm saying there are foul eggs out there. they can appear everywhere.
