Comick.io was better compared to Mangadex, which is like a graveyard now.

comick.io wasn't fucking cubari integrated and had no right to left or double spread option while at least dweeb central works with cubari (to compensate for the mid reader interface) even though nepnep is a useless bum who barely touches his own site (though he just throws DMCAs away somehow) and doesn't moderate shit which causes the comment sections to have mental retardation and become filled with dickheads. Also comick forced logins on certain manga

also (start's with a b and rhymes with natto) is so dogshit there's duplicates the tag system barely works the scan quality is dogshit

Kind of different - a bunch of folks who bailed on MD after the DMCA wound up on Comick, so I'm going to be curious how many come back and how many refuse.

MangaDex is still my primary site for finding new series, but I was following a few series on Comick that had been either DMCAed or the groups had stopped posting here.

I definitely prefer this site though.

Comments on Comick were a good glance at the "normie" side of this hobby.

Filthy creatures, I hope they stay away from me.

I've seen my share of vile comments here, but that place was way worse. Plus I couldn't report or even ignore people there.

Dumbfuck running comick signed up for things like cloudflare with his real personal info. Publishers (notably Kakao) were easily able to get said information and reach out to him with threats of legal action, forcing him to shut down.

While DMCAs are inevitable (sadly), if you're going to host official material don't make it trivial to track down your real name and home address.

My personal opinion was "Barely tolerable", I only really changed when it wasn't really possible to continue using 7 as the main anymore.
11 I only needed to go through the installation process once (To be able to install a different OS) and it was repulsive.

I was in the process of moving my entire reading/completed/planning list to comick so that sucks. I was doing it manually and removing each entry from MD once I added it to comick.

mangadex IMO has the best UI and comment combo but I'm a newgen and that manga kakarot (or one of its million clones) is literally insanely pixellated trash with facebook comment sections (lowest of the low), mangafire ui is good, comment sectiosn are disqus so gone, dweeb central the spread mode switching sucks buns (thank goodness for cubari integration though)
