Another cat god / relative of Kuro shows up and tells Kuro that she can have kids with the MC which would satisfy the 7th gen requirement to break the curse and let Kuro be a god of luck again. Kuro decides to pursue MC in earnest. The other cat god then moves in with MC and starts working at their high school.

Fast forward to the most recent chapter

Meanwhile Kuro has also asked the other cat god to erase the memories of MC, Hikari, and anyone else who knows Kuro after the school festival, regardless of the outcome of Kuro and Hikari’s competition and confessions.
