And what exactly would that accomplish? he would just get jumped again the next day. Maybe he will change schools, and these kids will either follow him to jump him again or incite kids from that school to do the same. Remember, these satan spawns planned to beat him up, they did, while the rest cheered, "beat him into a pulp". You prefer a negative peace which is the absence of tension, to a positive peace which is the presence of justice
Informing teachers/ law will get those people in trouble with those institutions. Thus, they will be punished appropriately and it will send an equal chilling effect to the rest of the class as they wouldn't want to be punished. Remember the ONLY reason why they kids acted like this was because they thought that they were in the right. That the MC was being a bad person and unfairly punishing them for his sin.
Maybe the fact that they failed? think about, in this scenario we got, only 3 kids got beaten, and the rest got protected, which mean that maybe they could deal with him together next time. If he was allowed to beat EVERYONE then they would actually be scared because they would know pain. Regardless, in both scenarios, there's a danger of retaliation, so I would they get at least a little bit of punishment
You are assuming that he could beat up EVERYONE when they are committed to kicking his ass. You do realise that the rest of the kids were acting like bystanders, right? Aggro'ing them by attacking them (EVEN THE ONES THAT TRY TO RUN AWAY) will cause all of them to become more aggressive in unity. They will then either all jump him then and there or (if he managed to fully capitalise on them underestimating him as they aren't fully jumping him) they will try to jump him in a bigger group together later on.
sure, in both cases things can end badly, for some reason you prefer the case where the bullies get protected, that's the only difference between your scenario and mine.
I prefer the scenario that A) puts the least amount of future risk of retalliation and or punishment from society and B) it doesn't assume that one kid could beat up 17 others after he managed to defeat only 3.

Whooop their sry asses, yeah.

So, makes you wonder, what was his origin story ? When did he start to become this way ? the Incident with his sister ? or his mom ? Or is there something happened before that still ?

I think it started with the absent mother=sister is motherly figure+sister abandons him and wish him death combo.

The funny think here is how it took an accusation to call his mother but the obvious bullying going on class before this chapter didn't even make them think about calling parents or making another move, it's funny because it happens with a lot of bullied kids, teachers ignore bullying like it's normal but retaliation often turns into a problem.

Operant conditioning or not, it is still wrong from a societal perspective. He was no longer in danger and his violent self-defense already scared the entire class, thus he did not need to do further acts of violence.
From a societal aspect legitimately everyone was wrong here and pushed him to this because he had no one for support so sociatle norms go out the window when in a state of consistent stress and ironically enough sadness and defeat make it trigger too

The issue of adapting novels into anything faster paced, I guess. Novels are full of dialogues and monologue. Whereas manga and anime suffer the pacing issue when ppl don't react to things in real time.

Other teacher quit because how she fucked up, but don't know how glasses teacher got away with this shit you can see her earlier in chapter she's still a teacher with new name probably she's married now and the childhood friend who supposed to be by his side, in future decides to fuck up her relationship instead of fixing the stupid decision she make she literally proceed to date the other guy. Why all Girls in this series is so fucking dumb?
Which childhood friend, and whom does she date? Wait, you don't mean the original one, whom nobody should care about because she's horrible?

Fair point. Everyone fucked up, especially the teachers in charge of the classroom. He mostly did what he thought would be right. However, the sad reality is that (if he did manage to hit the girl) he is likely to be looked at as another bad actor in the sea of bad actors in that classroom.

Im not disagreeing with that. The real fucked up part is the teachers just sat back and watched him getting his head and body stomped on but the second he fights back they stop him almost immediately

Might be a reflection of something, I can't put a name on it but bullied kids seem to have a place in the world and nobody likes it when they rebel against that notion. Most teachers in RL are not as incompetent as we'd like to think, they realize that kid is getting bullied but since there's no trouble for them they let it go.

How? The teachers could just lie; they have already proven to be willing to do so, same for the kids.

Why wouldn't the same thing happen even if he didn't attack them? The best choice was for him to attack when they were shocked, instead of giving them time to think and fight back

How? You put the least amount of future risk by letting them go scot-free and letting them plan again to a attack the MC because now they know no matter what they do they are not getting punished?

who cares? they already fucking hate him, they won't start liking him just because he is proven to be right, and he doesn't care about them either way

Not to mention how when everyone got their shoes stolen by the MC the teachers immediatelly went looking for their shoes. When the same happened to the MC previously, the teachers said they were going to do that but ended the conversation with "if you confess we can become your allies" LMAO at this point they just should admit they hate the MC
And you talk about "the obvious bullying" and them "not making anohter move" but it is even worse, the kids literally talked about beating him up IN FRONT OF THE TEACHERS and they didn't stop it

edit: also, in the LN, when the teachers started reading the diary he prepared as proof, their first impression was that it was a lie because it was too detailed, until they found out the entry that they could validate

definitely the incident with his sister, but a lot of shit happened afterwards and before this arc's time period because that's how he learned to fight, the novel directly says that due to his bad luck he had to.

How? The teachers could just lie; they have already proven to be willing to do so, same for the kids.
The teachers have not lied once in this story. At worst, they just ignored evidence. Also note that the teachers there were going there to APOLOGISE to him and correct the record because they got irrefutable evidence that he was innocent. You've gotta stop confusing malice with incompetence.
Why wouldn't the same thing happen even if he didn't attack them? The best choice was for him to attack when they were shocked, instead of giving them time to think and fight back
Leaving gives the other kids more options. If he left, the kids are LESS likely to fight back because they know that individually they each can't defeat him. However, if he continues to attack the kids it will force them to try to gang up on him as otherwise THEY'LL be the ones beaten up.
Basically if he leaves the rest of the kids have the options:
A)Chase him (highly unlikey due to him already dominating the leaders of this gang up)
B)Run away (less unlikely but they will want to protect themselves)
C)Stay still in shock (most likely due to them being scared kids)
Whereas if he continues to fight, he forces the rest to flight(unlikely because they KNOW he is willing to chase them) or fight back. Thus increasing the risk against him being injured dramatically.
How? You put the least amount of future risk by letting them go scot-free and letting them plan again to a attack the MC because now they know no matter what they do they are not getting punished?
HOW do you know they won't get punished? How exactly?

who cares? they already fucking hate him, they won't start liking him just because he is proven to be right, and he doesn't care about them either way

I am talking about OUTSIDE the classroom. You don't think that the kid who beat up both boys and girls wouldn't be shunned by the rest of the school? You don't think that those rumours won't then fuck up his future education. We have had two whole arcs based off rumors already, so him beating up EVERYBODY would have made his situation WORSE!

The teachers have not lied once in this story. At worst, they just ignored evidence.
The temp teacher LITERALLY tried to change the timing of when the theft happened. it was something like:
MC: When did you lose your stuff
Temp Teacher: around X time
MC: Ok then, it couldn't be me because I couldn't do it at X time
Temp Teacher: It's that so? Then maybe it was at Y time

The MC literally accused her of lying right there.
Also note that the teachers there were going there to APOLOGISE to him and correct the record because they got irrefutable evidence that he was innocent.
wdym? They got the evidence the day before, during classes, we literally see them giving classes AFTER they confirmed that he wasn't the culprit. Why did they have to wait for the next day to apologize? Why didn't they clear his record? And you are wrong, the teachers were going there not to "apologize", they were going there to "talk to Kokonoe-kun" about him stealing and damaging the shoes, see chapter 25.3
You've gotta stop confusing malice with incompetence.
Once again, this is not just incompetence; by the definition of the word is about failing to do something, not about doing something bad. The teachers not stopping the bullying, not letting him defend himself, literally listening to the bullies planning to beat him up, and not stopping them is incompetence.
The teachers putting the spotlight on him, changing the timing of the event to make the MC the culprit, and slapping him, is not "incompetence". And yes, they might not be "malicious" but they act like they are. This is like the "no hate like Christian love" phrase
If he left, the kids are LESS likely to fight back because they know that individually they each can't defeat him
why? they will just understand that there's no consequences for their actions so they will do it again, more prepared this time.
However, if he continues to attack the kids it will force them to try to gang up on him as otherwise THEY'LL be the ones beaten up.
I mean... they already did that without him attacking them
HOW do you know they won't get punished? How exactly?
idk maybe because of the fact that they have literally been bullying him for a while, stole his shoes, and NOTHING fucking happened to them. And with punishment, I don't mean a slap on the wrist, an earful, and getting grounded for like 2 days. That would basically be them just getting away with it, which means they will feel invincible and try it again.
I am talking about OUTSIDE the classroom. You don't think that the kid who beat up both boys and girls wouldn't be shunned by the rest of the school?
bro, they are kids 😂 do you think anyone would actually care for the future? and once again, he is already shunned, without doing anything bad, it doesn't matter at this point. You talk like "omg, if he beats them the whole school would hate him" when this can most probably still be the case if they decide (which they might have already done btw) to spread the "he is a thief" rumors.
so him beating up EVERYBODY would have made his situation WORSE!
really? well I assume the fact that he beat 3 kids would then make his situation a little bit worse... wait, it hasn't 😂

That lie was her trying to keep the story straight in her mind. She isn't going to lie about seeing kids ganging up on another one.

I got the timeframe wrong there. My bad. However, we see that he left the class BEFORE they arrived (to do the shoe thing) and never returned. They would have probably brought it up in the class if he was there, latest during homeroom the next day.
Once again, this is not just incompetence; by the definition of the word is about failing to do something, not about doing something bad. The teachers not stopping the bullying, not letting him defend himself, literally listening to the bullies planning to beat him up, and not stopping them is incompetence.

Ok calm down there mister "enlightened atheist". The teachers TRIED to stop the bullying as soon as they saw it occuring. However, they were interrupted when he himself declared everyone as enemies. The new teacher did not lie because she hated the mc, she "lied" as she was not sure WHEN her thing went missing and then assumed she got the time wrong! The spotlight and slap (which was not a slap directed the mc but the paper he was holding) was done because they are VERY incompetent. In order for malice, there needs to be hatred involved. The teachers have not been shown to hate the mc, at worst they are frustrated because they think he is lying.
why? they will just understand that there's no consequences for their actions so they will do it again, more prepared this time.
He just beat up three people who attacked him.
I mean... they already did that without him attacking them
No. Only three people physically attacked him. The kids were under mob mentality when he was being beaten. They weren't thinking in terms of flight or fight. Being physical with the kids FORCES them to be flight or fight which in term would cause more to PHYSICALLY gang up on him.
idk maybe because of the fact that they have literally been bullying him for a while, stole his shoes, and NOTHING fucking happened to them. And with punishment, I don't mean a slap on the wrist, an earful, and getting grounded for like 2 days. That would basically be them just getting away with it, which means they will feel invincible and try it again.
The teachers there TRIED to sort it out but were interrupted and went about this the worst way possible. The whole point of this flashback is to show that these two are extremely incompetent.
bro, they are kids 😂 do you think anyone would actually care for the future? and once again, he is already shunned, without doing anything bad, it doesn't matter at this point. You talk like "omg, if he beats them the whole school would hate him" when this can most probably still be the case if they decide (which they might have already done btw) to spread the "he is a thief" rumors.
The rumors go from "did you know that kid who stole one thing? He's a bad dude" (which can be easily dismissed/proven false and was probably going to) to "There's a psycho in our school who'll steal anything and beat up anyone!" (Which is harder to dismiss and will stick to him further).

Also, nice "but they are children" argument for the story of a guy who got himself beat up, defended himself and then attempted to harm a female student (all in front of two teachers) JUST so that he can show he is A) a victim, B) capable of violence and C) vindictive.
really? well I assume the fact that he beat 3 kids would then make his situation a little bit worse... wait, it hasn't 😂
He beat up three kids who were physically violent against him. Self defense is looked at differently than general violence.
