It goes back to the early theme of the story. In the business of selling images, everyone transforms their image to make it a better commodity. There are layers of masks over the authentic and flawed people.

We know what the real Kanae is like, all chain-smoking and dressing like a goth and pegging her boss. For her to dress up like a respectable office worker is for her to impersonate one.

Is that respect for Yuusei, or an attempt to decieve him? Maybe respect for your enemy before you destroy them. I think it's an attempt to trick Yuusei into thinking he's not as capable as her Idol Agency would be, to pressure him into signing a contract before he has all the info.
