Yes, MC's magic is OP, but he compared himself to the hero who can use both OP physical attacks and magic attacks. Also, the hero's magic seemed to be comparable to his.
Because he was a commoner, he didn't have the blessing for physical attacks, so he kept desiring it.
Comparison is the thief of joy, indeed.

To be fair that was after he was reborn with a "blessing", which is basically just being a demigod in this setting apparently.

"Nobility" someone who has god's blood mixed into their bloodline. They have blessings that I did not have.

It's right up there with isekai when a it's just a standard fantasy setting that has nothing to do with it after the first two pages cover "I was a normal Japanese dude that got hit by a truck/died overworking". More tags, even if only technically relevant, means more search hits.
