the obvious way for him to survive is just getting captured and forced to fight for the imperials, probably through “we’ll spare these ones only if you obey” hostage tactics. And it fits with the need for him to now advance the imperial heroine route since he basically hit max affection with this one.

really don't like that, the spear was pretty much in the center, he should be at least wounded, all that preasure pushing the metal from the back, and yeah I find it annoying that guy was just flying with the KOG without legs too, it's pretty annoying, wonder if he will lose his memory and the empire will use him

I mean its less about MC surviving and more about the guy MC was supposed to have easily defeated, who is so one with his KOG he is basically jesus, somehow didn't recognize this Princess guard just "tis but a flesh wound" his attack.

Rather then come up with something clever, author just cheap shotted super hard. He basically showed the equivalent of a giant blood splatter on a wall/window followed by the shadow of a character's lifeless body slump to the ground, only for said character to come back alive because the bullet actually just grazed his head, and the blood is due to face wounds bleeding a lot, and he slumped over because the graze was painful or some shit like that.

Or to put it in Cid Kageno terms, dude just rearranged his organs so he wouldn't die after being stabbed thru where his heart would be, then stopped his own heart to make it look like he actually died, then restart his heart right before his brain died due to lack of blood flow. Except rather than being a funny over the top edgelord of a comedy power fantasy isekai, its just some random side mini boss character who probably even after this scene will have 0 relevance to the story.
