what about yuri? Can you elaborate? Like do we get any yuri scenes atleast?

nope
sure there is some girl who is fall in love to the mc, but mc doesnt know anything about that feeling (one-sided), mc is just too air-headed and not interested in love
tough the closest one we might get is mc with her maid, since she become very angry/ruthless when the maid got killed and just straight up kill with no mercy to the demon who killed the maid and she even killed the grim reaper (for the 10th time) to resurrect the maid

too bad the maid consider mc more as little sister

why even bother setting the scene for "villainess" stuff if shes just a regular hero who happened to have been treated bad?

She couldnt even understand that after her death magic went downhill, she tought he is messing with her. Well honestly i dont like this trope of "im so powerful but i want peace so ill just lay low (and got involved in every main event unintentionally).

iM gOnNa be a villainess, yeah fuck off with that writing already. If you're not actually gonna make a villainess character after having them executed then don't even bother.

Funny thing, there's something about that which was mentioned in the novel in an exposition section that was otherwise covered in this chapter, and which is a very funny choice to exclude from it (obviously, a bit of a spoiler for the upcoming story, so beware):

Because the Saintess was literally the sole force on the side of humanity making up for the difference in power between the human and demon forces, the obligatory demon lord rolled up as soon as she was dead, and currently humanity is besieged on all sides, their territory shrinking with every year.
So yeah, they aren't conquered... yet.
Can you spoil why the humanity decided to off the Saint even though the Demon Lord is still alive. And someone mentioned that one of her allies from the past were still alive, so why didn't they help the Saint?

let see...

from what i conclude, the saint presence cause war among humanity since many country and noble begun to fight with each other to own the power of the saint and at that time, the saint keep helping people including the noble
i guess this is why the human country decided to off the saint because she's too dangerous, and since the saint is too strong that she can kill everything including the demon easily, the humanity doesnt know if those demon actually strong and they begun to take the human country land in search of food and resources
at that point, the saint already dont care about anything and give up living since she saw the bad side of humanity

as for why her former ally doesnt help the saint when she got executed, unfortunately the WN havent touched that part yet
beside the saint, there's also beast swordman (who later rejoin the saint), a magician (who later said left the result of her research to one of the country), i forgot the last member tough

soon one of the main focus of the story is the beast swordman rallied the hometown of the mc to build their own country and their land also always getting oppressed by the country that surrounding them, the beastman really want no one will be able to use the saint again and wishes the mc to live freely and he think making the saint position as the head of the saint country is one way to do that (while still keeping mc identity as saint is secret)

It wasn't him who kidnapped the princesses, it was bandits - if you know what I mean.

His victims are most likely killed, but he could also just sell them off. If he disposes the bodies where they could be found, then no one has to be looking for them which risks himself getting investigated. As far as anyone else knows, the bandits did it.
That only works when you go after nobodies, the disenfranchised and unwanted. Not the princess and other high nobility.

What makes the princess any different? A better investigation team? So they find the bandits, they execute the bandits. End of story. Who are gonna believe a bunch of bandits saying that they were hired by nobility?

Nah, I can't stand these "villains" who are actually the most vanilla heroes.

At least kill that bastard who kidnapped you.

Same that makes a high profile celebrity different from a random orphan vanishing from the orphanage. Notoriety, fame, power they hold and whom they're associate with, who cares about them, how many people know about them and would ask questions, and so on and on.

If you think that someone would just "capture the bandits and think nothing of it", especially with the person still missing you're that's odd as all hell. People would demand she'd be found, every stone turned, everything questioned. From how such a thing could even occur, to who was involved and so on and on. It would likely draw ever wide circles, as they start to find "alternative" means to make anyone they could talk.

If she was intentionally disposed of that she would be found, there's nothing to do after that than exact revenge. So you find and execute the bandits. Maybe blame the kingdom for letting this happen and start a war. The guy is not going to be implicated even if the bandits manage to say a thing because who would believe them?

Yo guys, manga art is goodd, but why does the cover for the manga looks so much like AI? Any clues?

The eyes details looks so wobbly and so undefined, the knight armor's too, lines wavying and the hair lines is also wonky, am I just overthinking?

That'ss probably a low-res source scaled-up by AI.

This is an official image from amazon, for comparison:

This is operating on the assumption that either the investigators are incompetent or the royal family deems the Princess expendable, neither of which is a safe bet.

The kidnapping and killing of a Princess is a Big Deal. It's not something ordinary bandits would normally do unless they have backings. Even if officials distrust the bandits' testimony, they'll still pursue that lead under intense public and political pressure; no government can credibly leave a claim like that unexplored.

Furthermore, a parent in grief is not a rational actor. The King could definitely demand revenge, and even start a war, even with paltry evidence. And even if we are to assume the King didn't actually love the Princess, he might still do it anyway as a show of power so no one else dares messing with the crown.

There is a chance that the royal family would not react, yes, but a plan that hinges on the whims of someone a lot more powerful than you is neither sound nor logical.

"Magic has weakened over time" is an overused cliche, but the rest of the first chapter hooked me enough to follow the manga.

I thought this manga was dumb as hell, then there's this comment...

Bro kidnapped royalty, in public, in a monarchy society. That summed up how stupid this is.
Wait, did I mention that dude pull this stunt in public? With a big group of people and a flashy carriage? And return to his goddamn house like a moron?

Who are gonna believe a bunch of bandits saying that they were hired by nobility?
Who don't?
The royal family? They gonna see it through so whoever did this shit will never has a chance to do it again.
Other nobles? Favor with royalty, land and prestige when the dude falls, you name it. Why would they throw away an easy cake?
Dude committed a treason, a crime of a highest severity (and with none and zero heroic reason to back like "for the good of the country" or some sort), and you think anyone would just let it slide?

It literally doesn't matter. [Insert noble X who does stupid shit] will be erased including the whole extended family doesn't matter children or women to prevent further revenge. It's just history class.

Getting a 90 years sentence is actually light af.
