Well, you can't really blame her. Here goes the tragic backstory of the envious sister who didn’t realize the happy sister was as much of a tool as she was.
well yes, but both of them had only had a very limited (or curated) view of the world. Here goes the tragic backstory of the envious sister who didn’t realize the happy sister was as much of a tool as she was.
Well, you can't really blame her.
Even if Marietta raised to become tool, she still get proper treatment.
Theh what Claudette get? Only suffering.
At no point did I say which was better off just that they were both tools XD. Tho I’m sure Marietta isn’t gonna be pleased at the situation eitherwell yes, but both of them had only had a very limited (or curated) view of the world.
(Marietta doesn't even know she had a sister does she?)
Of course Marietta lived in a golden cage, which is certainly a better fate than in cold, damp prison.
So as usual the truly evil ones are as usual the adults who basically decided tot torture a child for fun.
I think it's because it's fairly common these days to use "tragic backstory" in a dismissive sense, like "oh, here comes the dastardly villain's abusive childhood where they were locked in the basement and hit by their mother, so now we the readers are meant to sympathize with them even though they set fire to a town and regularly kick dogs" type thing. At no point did I say which was better off just that they were both tools XD. Tho I’m sure Marietta isn’t gonna be pleased at the situation either
Oh, when Marietta learns the truth of what happened to her twin, I suspect she will be more than a little displeased with her home nation.
Sure, she had used her magic to harm others, but I suspect Marietta will take that as a 'hurt people hurt people" situation and is going to have some choice words for the nobility of Snewe, when she finally comes face-to-face with Claudette once more.
But to be fair, how could she, all she had to KNOW about FMC life was those horrid maids words. So ASSUMED she was "living it up" while she was ABUSED!Here goes the tragic backstory of the envious sister who didn’t realize the happy sister was as much of a tool as she was.
it's a dumb-ish answer, but I think the logic is fairly consistent.Seriously why did they treat the "spare" this badly, it's just stupid. If something had happened to Marietta then they'd suddenly have to try and replace her with a malnourished sickly traumatized waif which isn't fooling anybody.
I dunno - she's since grown as a person since that point, and she's also been putting in the effort to try and make amends, rather than simply apologizing with words. And it's still a "work in progress", on her end.Marietta seems to think that mass murder should be forgiven if you just say your sorry, so I don't know that she'd actually be that upset about a little imprisonment and abuse.
Honestly I assumed Marietta never saw her life as ROSY, she was worked and relied on WAY TOO MUCH but was TRAINED to think this way, just as the ASSHOLES back home did the OPPOSITE with her sister, mistreating her despite the fact as THE SPARE it would have been SMARTER to assure she was taken care of as WELL in the off chance something HAPPENED to Marietta, then the SWITCH would be easy, but then again they never paid attention and I'm SURE the Maid would have been HORRIBLY punished for scar-ing the sister along with revealing there WAS a twin to her! Remember she was DELUSIONAL enough to believe she'd be REWARDED for killing the sister "EARLY" without their OKAY! Hope she SURVIVED the explosion and was HORRIBLY punished for allowing the Sister to escape! Seriously what a bitch! I'm sure she was ASSIGNED to the Sister BECAUSE she was incompetent with how she acted SO PROUD and felt she was ABOVE the position she was entrusted! At no point did I say which was better off just that they were both tools XD. Tho I’m sure Marietta isn’t gonna be pleased at the situation either
Source?Scarred a child for life, both physically and emotionally?
