Here's the important points so far:

• MC was a corporate drone in Japan, and his favorite game to play was called Dungeon Brave Soul
• Dungeon Brave Soul was an adult-rated, fantasy harem game with a hero protagonist, named Leon
• His most hated game is its sequel, Dungeon Brave Soul 2, because of its NTR plotline with the villainous protagonist, Zenon
• Basically, Zenon steals Leon's harem and, in his despair, releases the demon king (who was sealed at the end of DBS 1) which results in the world being destroyed
• MC gets reincarnated into the world of DBS as that Zenon character just before the start of DBS 1
• Because he hates NTR, MC decides to avoid getting in the way of Leon and avoid interacting with the the heroines (who are supposed to later become Leon's harem)

...that's a scimitar, I'm not a blacksmith or a sword expert but anyone with eyes can tell that ain't a katana or even close to being one, even the hilt is not japanese style.
Maybe it morphs with time or a burst attack in a katana...but sure as hell isn't one now.
