Interesting how the chapter following Komori-1 stating that he's not lying in this horror series is about someone lying about ghost stories. Also, I find it interesting how Komori-1 claims to have never lied in his life. That sounds a bit like overcompensation, doesn't it? Like, everyone's lied before.
On the other hand, if he really had something to hide, why would he include Komori-2's note at the end of the last chapter? It would have been extremely easy for him to just skip that. And, honestly, I'm sure Komori-2 knew that as well. So it kind of makes me wonder why she'd be so overt. And why Komori-1 even included it in the first place. Some compulsory effect, maybe? Or he's just not able to not upload these chapters for some other reason?
Also, something I'm wondering. Do we know anything about Komori Hiki, the actual person? Do we know if they're a man or a woman? Because, like, at this point where they are two individuals in the story claiming to be "Komori Hiki," we don't seem to actually know whether or not one of them is closer to the real thing or not. We've kind of just been assuming that they were a man because that's how "Komori Hiki" presented themself at the beginning of the story.
According to my brief research, the only other manga Komori Hiki's made is the other one listed on their author page here, Kamigakari. I can't find any social medias accounts that I can verify as belong to them or anything. Maybe I'm just missing something, but it kind of seems like Komori might be intentionally using the fact that the public doesn't know much about them here to further the mystery, you know?
But maybe I'm wrong and we've always known that Komori Hiki was a man or that Komori Hiki was a woman. I don't know.
