If you read it blind sure there are no 'tropes' here, all his works literally follow the same formula to the point that most people here knows he's gonna force some sort of random train crash just to increase the length of the series and the childhood friend character is destined to get hurt because he still lives in the 2000s where they can never have a good ending.

Maybe I'm just jaded but my gut says things aren't quite so simple. I think she's running from something - could be a violent ex-boyfriend or just had a bad end to her previous relationship and wants out of that town. Don't know how long it was between the last 2 chapters but even if a month or more has passed since they started dating no one instantly uproots their entire life for someone they just reconnected with recently.
