Axed for sure. Sure anyone would say it's just a promotion. But if this manga managed to get top 100 sales chart, they will keep producing chapters just like any adaptation manga will good sales performance in Japan.

It's an original manga, author and artist are the same, meaning it was axed but wasn't an adaptation.
Screw that, MD tags are wrong, they're listing the author as both. Artist is Kobayashi Kira, and yes, it is based on a light novel.
