I think a “Magic Gun” is one of my most hated Fantasy Tropes. Just make it a wand or staff, at least a Blunderbuss or cannon if it must be a gun. But that’s just a regular ass Bullet, why can’t it just be an earth spell with fire trails. Who is cheering seeing a gun?

The irony is, a gun in a wizardry world is awesome, read the Dresden Files to see how that works surprisingly well but that’s Modern day! Where guns already exist alongside magic.

To be fair, Van is from Earth so it's very possible he made it a 'gun' to be cool. Just like how many Japanese reincarnated people long for things from Japan (GLORIOUS NIPPON KATANA, rice, miso, etc)

The same way he was very hyped at the dinosaur bone when everyone else weren't.

What helps me remember is from a movie, stalagmites show their might by standing tall, stalactites hold tight to not fall off the ceiling. I think Van knocked both types over either way.
I remembered the same thing, but it was quoted by a random geologist on youtube. No idea where he got that from, didn't specify, just said it.

And yet another artist shoots an entire cartridge out of a gun instead of a bullet :haa:
How else can you shoot 65% more bullet per bullet
The funny thing is that he's not using gunpowder, he's using telekinesis to propel the bullet, and probably gave the bullet that shape because, "That's just how bullets are shaped.". :dogkek:

In WN, I imagined Van was using tubes forming from DK blood to shoot the bullet. Not this fully realized gun with bullet.
