I don't discard that it may be a pun name derived from that, but it also may be reference to words in other languages, at least knowing how Nishi has gone for naming conventions in her other manga (Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun) and having a bias of a Spanish speaker, part of me thinks it could be reference to "book" in Spanish ("libro") or another Iberian language, maybe could also be a reference to "free" in those languages ("libre" in Spanish).little brother's name is libro
lil'bro...
Yeah tbh it was obvious that shit was gonna stun lock her by the end of the chapterNice flashbacks but not sure about leaving the chapter in the same cliffhanger it was left last time we saw her (because everyone in the audience knew)
Yeah honestly good chapter overall nice to see some Desscaras loreI think sitting on a big ass needle for a 100 days is the most impressive trail yet
Nishi doing next level jaPUN and honestly it's greatI don't discard that it may be a pun name derived from that, but it also may be reference to words in other languages, at least knowing how Nishi has gone for naming conventions in her other manga (Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun) and having a bias of a Spanish speaker, part of me thinks it could be reference to "book" in Spanish ("libro") or another Iberian language, maybe could also be a reference to "free" in those languages ("libre" in Spanish).
Could also be both. I don't discard a multi-language pun. I believe Nishi would love that. Officially I think the only pun confirmed for Desscaras is between English and Japanese "Death Karasu" so "Death Crow" but a few Spanish speakers think it may be connected to "Descarada" (feminine adjective for presumptious or insolent, "Descaro" being presumptiousness or insolence) which would fit her to a T in my opinion.
