Darn my impatience lol, I could have just waited an extra 2 hours! Shame since I liked Minji quite well since she's portrayed pretty well as a relatively okay person with a kind heart underneath her cold and cool persona it's just that she just goes with the flow along with her (less than stellar) friend group many such cases. very down-to-earth character as is par the course with the story.

Though even as someone who really enjoys these types of grounded story, I really feel like the author could have at least indulged (us) in the cheap stereotypical GB tropes we so often see at least a little? It was a perfect setup for the childhood friend to figure it out in any average GB works. But seems like he has way more self-control than me. I trust the author to make good story decisions, having a plot thread that goes nowhere or forgotten can be pretty bad too even if it has a fun short-term potential. Probably a plus of it being an idol-focused webtoon

I still really enjoy our MC. He really defines that down-to-earth vibe that the poster above me was talking about, and it's rather interesting how clear his existence is just ultimately tertiary to other people's perspectives. They've all got their own things going on, and Kim Sanghyun(Did I spell his name right?) is just a momentary guest, and the same is true vice versa—which, due to his insular life, does a stellar job showing how much this man is suffering from loneliness and disconnect, despite living in such a crowded world.

They might be walking on the same path, at the same time, at the same direction... but there is no one walking with Kim Sanghyun.

Absolute fantastic storytelling.

Han Yoil, I need you to lock in and find a way to get Minji in the debut team!

Also, I'm worried about the "Hold on, someone's missing" line. What if another character we like got dropped?

I lowkey wish this didn't have the harem tag in the Naver webtoon page, because I like Iruha's story, and while I don't mind a few more romantic interests, I wanna see more of the idol career. My guess is that Wonjin will feel lonely due to no new trainees being in the debut lineup, so she'll try to pass her time with Sanghyun at the arcade machine. Sanghyun is a really good guy, but if too many baddies fall for him, the series will be walking a fine line in terms of believability.

I have faith in this author tho, so I'll just wait and see.

Lee Ruha has competition. More than anyone of us expected. Soae, Seoyoung, Minji, and maybe Wonjin. And she still thinks Yoil is her biggest rival...

So true, I really liked the the author way's of having the MC make friendships and connections with people such as Soae, Minji, Izumi and Hyojeong It was all done pretty organically and makes for a good contrast from the shut-in he was before and I hope Wonjin will go that way of relationship instead of a romantic one like Iruha's. Iruha's romantic thread line was slowly hard fought to get where it is now (and even then it's not that much, she herself remarked that she doesn't like him that much) and having another in such a close span of time just cheapens Iruha's arc.

Slight tangent, I like how the few fanservicey stuff we do get can be written off as being pretty fair to happen considering the circumstances. Like all the cast being total baddies for one makes sense since almost all of them are idol trainees or at least related to the entertainmenr industry. The one girl that we got unrelated to the whole idol stuff looks understandably average by comparison. and stuff like the playful confessions or adoration of Fem!MC can be written off as just stuff girls do (lol, idk. but it's not treated seriously)

This all reminds me of the one thing I've most wanted since I started reading this, which is to eventually have another character use the bath bomb. Some part of me wanted Ruha to actually give up on being an idol like she was thinking of, but then have Sanghyun explain the transformation, which then leads her to becoming a guy from her past life and pursuing a career as a male idol.

That scenario might have led to many more situations where Sanghyun would be forced to deal with living life as Han Yoil beyond being an idol, and if there has to be male romance targets, this would provide a more interesting one (specifically more interesting than Cha Gongwon) that heavily involves gb.

But I guess what I imagined wasn't meant to be. At least, not for now.

It's nice to see how much everyone appreciates the author. The writing for characters and character interactions is so realistic considering the supernatural GB element.

It's always a refreshing read, nothing like the majority of webtoons or manga that have idols or GB as the topic.

Yeah alot of series, esp harem ones always have the mc be 'ordinary' or have them be a 'background character'. This usually isnt really true, and if it is, it doesnt last long, the MC eventually becomes the spotlight in someones life. Idk how to explain it, but sanghyun really feels like a background character, he has people he knows but theres always some painful amount of disconnect he has with other people lingering despite him constantly interacting with pretty girls (unlike other stories where theyll fall for him or something) and people who are in pretty important positions. Kim Sanghyun is genuinely a character that is "painfully ordinary"
