Yeah man it's totally about budget, not at all about animators. There is no art involved, only money!
Mappa has some crazy good animators, the "cheap cgi stuff" is getting to a point where it's barely noticeable, what are you talking about man.
The only bad thing about the CSM anime is the tone shift, which was seemingly corrected in the Reze movie.

Speedreading? She's the only woman in the series, Asa (not Yoru), that loves him and DOESN'T want to kill him. She also saved him from the Falling Devil. They also share a deeper emotional connection between themselves as they both realized they're just trying to get through life with the worst circumstances dealt to them (both let their parents die/killed them, both hit rock bottom and just wanted to die but were essentially forced back into life to continue).
If you can't see how Asa might be special to Denji and vice versa, idk what to tell you.

Look, I'm not a speedreader and as a illustrator myself, I like to look at panels and figure out whats going on but this chapter's action scenes were really hard to figure out. I think they were a bit too messy.

I disagree. He's changed a lot over the series. It's true he was initially ruled purely by his dick but after the first major arc concluded he realises when affection truly is looking at him. When Power was throwing herself at Denji he felt just a sense of protectiveness and the need to comfort her, with Reze he realised there was more to love than just lust and he also felt brotherly/paternal affection with Nayuta. Of course Fujimoto plays this for gags in later chapters too but it's no longer hurr durr Denji the sex fiend

Of course watch as Fujimoto does literally nothing with this character growth and ends up killing off all the characters yet again.

It makes me sad that, despite his ingenuity, Denji always wants to do the right thing, even if he is a half-devil. He has a good heart and ... every time someone exploits or takes advantage of him. It is probably even sadder that this is the reality we live in.
