Her colleague and her situation seem like a chekhov's gun because it doesn't make sense to bring a new character and for their situation to be brought up out of nowhere.

This might be a huge stretch but perhaps Sui-chan is the ex-supervisor and she has plans with the colleague. Sui-chan mentioned initially that she was free that day but in the meantime Ren suggested to the colleague to accept ex-supervisor's advances so her colleague might've listed to her and that's why it turned out that Sui-chan isn't free after all after not answering the DMs the whole day. Or, yk, I might be reading too much into it.

It also doesn't make sense for the one-night-stand girl to appear again just to get turned down, especially after the convo with the colleague who has a problem with her own one night stand. Or, yk, I might be reading too much into that as well lol

Another thing in favor of my theory is that the cover art shows Sui holding someone elses hair while someone else is reaching for Ren's hair. So Sui is pursuing the colleague, Ren is pursuing Sui and the one night stand girl is pursuing Ren

Since it’s still early in the series having the colleague show up doesn’t mean she will be an ongoing character and it’s not odd for other characters to show up like friends or colleague like her friend in the rent a service isn’t odd. It’s just having people show up when needed with the story. Again it’s still early and anyone can show up to add to the story.

With one night stand girl. It made sense. She fell for her one night stand looked for her to ask her out. It just happens. Ren telling her one night stand she isn’t interested solidifies her interest for Sui.
Who knows if the one night stand will appear again or not to cause drama. Either way it just helped show where Ren stands with her feelings. Tho in the bar I felt she would have slept with that girl if it happened. But unsure if it would have just got a feeling she would of.

Back to colleague story who knows who that one night stand was. Or if it will even comeback to it or show that person.
All we know is Sui is a college student with a part time job. We don’t know what year or what type of job.

Tho I’ll add that she said she was free that day yet not the full day and didn’t say anything when telling Ren. So I wonder if Sui actually has feelings for Ren or Sui has someone she actually likes and Ren is a stand in to get experience to dating a girl.
I’m not sure how much drama this series will have or it will be heart felt and they end up together with outside drama.
So far I do like the story and art. But it’s still too early. Hope to see more chapters soon.

I mean, the whole colleague conversation could just have been a way to really bring home the theme of the chapter: is being pursued or doing the pursuing better? Because Reina‘s actions and feelings completely contradicts her advice to her colleague: she tells her that being pursued is better, because it means you are desired and that you should see where that goes. But Reina is in actuality pursuing Sui wholeheartedly, and when asked out by the ONS she completely rebuffs her because she isn’t the object of HER desire.

I mean, she may appear again in other circumstances, but she's quite clearly there to illustrate the disconnect between Reina's stated feelings ("Being chased is better than doing the chasing") and her actions in the chapter (chasing Sui and not really caring that this other girl is pining for her so bad that she went every night to the bar in the hopes of seeing her again, even though she only went there once).

I do feel bad for this girl, even though Reina was very upfront with her, and that's good. Hopeless love all around!
I also find very funny that Reina is sooo obviously always thinking about Sui, but also that she's like "oh no I'll have to go to another place to get laid otherwise it'd be awkward :/" after the confession-rejection lol.

Thanks for the chapter! Really liking this so far. It's not that frequent to evoke hookup culture in yuri, ime, so it's an interesting lens.

Not knowing Suis specific age I think it's still highly possible she is Reinas colleagues one night stand. Assuming she's at least 20 as she said she was bad with alcohol not underage, 3 years ago she would be 17/18 so still in high school but could still easily have a part time job still.

Her being underage at the time could also add to the feelings of guilt the colleague felt that she went to the extreme of changing all her contact details and Suis potential obsession with her stronger
