No, this is just actually dumb. What? Did the author try to make it dumb on purpose? Is that the plot. Like what the hell was the "There's no point talking to her." and then having the character in question IMMEDIATELY be shocked at the mere mention of the word "revenge". She also clearly looked concerned. Maybe try talking to her first. I mean it's not like it matters. Nothing else was good either. But that was just really annoying to read. I hate when authors point something out and then make the moment so stupid.

Given that womans reaction when he mentioned revenge, he honestly should have said more to her. Its not like its going to make her hate him more than seeming like a mindless killer, and seems likely she cares for him.
I doubt a man of sheer fcking will at a that point in time care about anybody's opinion about him, wouldn't you say so?

In all seriousness, I see why this guy stopped at that moment, because there was a sliver of doubt weather the guilty was at a point they could be called innocent and that would be a problem as just like the hero Raul some people keep their Revenge with only very strict criteria. So if the girl was the leader and cant recognize why they are being judged even by the smallest margins all he has to do if find someone to judge if the memories can be reinstalled and he will off her with a nice monolog otherwise its "oh she's not a part of the Revenge just a innocent, cant have a innocent be part of this just the guilty"
It also seems like the other assassin dosent know anything and this was a show made by the guy that killed our MC wife. That had the girl look older with Illusions or some other short term transformation magic.
The dudes hope was to kill all of what the assassin loves and just contol an empty husk of a killer with his illusion magic but that didn't work out.

As i said last chapter. Wow turns out this was a horrible idea tonkill his wife to try make him retuen whop whop. Honestly amazed thr guy was killed off instantly instead of it been dragged like it would usually. Still leader been a child and his (presume) student reaction makes me think maybe this whole orginzation not exactly on the same page

I really don´t like these unnecessary misunderstandings, "they killed my wife" is not even a big phrase, why not tell that to the chakram girl... or kill her, since he was in all this burn it all down mood before finding the child.

Also... that guy´s death should have been longer

Also... fridge worthy wife is very fridge worthy

Also... will this have an Usagi Drop type ending?, because if it is so, it would be worse than Usagi Drop in so many levels (though probably she wasn´t guilty, inside plot, hostile takeover, etc, etc.)

This shit is ASS.

"Illusion doesn't work on me because my heart is dead"

doesn't kill the bitch because she's a kid now and that doesn't count for some fucking reason
He doesn't kill her because he wants her to suffer, and for her to suffer, she has to get her memories back. He's going to bring her memories back so that he can kill HER, not a random child (or prove her innocence). He wants to make the person who did it suffer, so he's on a quest to put boss' personality back into her body so that she can't escape her punishment by erasing her memories.

Because he doesn't care anymore
He just wants his revenge and doesn't care if they see him as good or bad.

Grief does that to a person especially if blinded by revenge

That's a lot of emotion being put out for a MAN WHOSE HEART IS ALREADY DEAD.

This is just stupid writing that's all.

if you want to use that stupid logic, then he should've just gone and offed himself? Why would he be burning guards and killing the guy for revenge if 'it's too much emotion for a guy whose heart is dead'? Why didn't you have a problem with that?

Optimally yeah, kill both, kill himself, somehow fail to (get stopped or whatever) and THEN character progression.

Would still make more sense than whatever bullshit is planned here, especially if it's "to make her suffer" why her and not the other cunt before her, the one who ACTUALLY DID IT. Oh maybe because it isn't a loli to bait the average Japanese reader.

"You're the best SS rank mage!"

Later.

"Why isn't my magic working!'

Yeah this guy would be stupid enough to kill his wife and think that wouldn't backfire.

No, I meant before killing anyone. Revenge is also a strong emotion, so he should've just killed himself immediately without going to any headquarters if we take the heart=dead as serious as you are taking it to be.
"Why her?" Because the guy got overpowered, hands cut off, defeated morally to the point of begging for mercy and then burned alive while still being the same person who 'actually did it'. Sounds like plenty of suffering that reached the right individual. The girl isn't herself, so he would effectively taking revenge on an unrelated person who can't even comprehend what's happening, much less what she did.
