What was your real, conscious entry into manga and anime?
Like, the one where you began to see it as something distinct from your local media and focused on it?

My first encounter with anime was JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure around 2019 (pre-covid). I felt like after Part 1 it was already pretty apparent how bizarre different it was compared to traditional American media.

This in turn got me hooked. I consumed all 5 parts that were available pretty quickly. I started getting into more anime like HxH. Then I found manga in 2023 and the rest is history.

Great question. As of currently, it’s probably Moriagaranai Date. It would be Shitai Katsugi no Nemu but that got licensed fairly recently!
