251 messages. There was going to be silly bit about how common 250 is, but due to my 250th message being... this, the whole thing was ruined. Hooray...
At least there's 2500, right?
Anyways, since I've hit my numbersake, I'll go tell you my normie "origin story", I guess.
It was April... It was hot outside, nothing to do, and I was doomscrolling on Twitter for the 100th time that month. It was just a normal day until I saw a tweet about how azumanga fans not watching the anime. You see, I've had my eye on the anime due to clips that I've seen, which resulted in me growing a liking to the series, akin to those very same fans that tweet was about. Due to this, when I saw the tweet I thought to myself, "fuck it I rather watch the anime than be associated with those people" or something like that. After a while, I've finished the series, and I even got a bit emotional at the end. It was a nice series, but I've now opened the flood gates and started my quick path into becoming the dweller you all don't know nor care to!
Summer came after a few months, and it was already ruined when some relative I knew died. Basically, it resulted in me having free and practically unmonitored access to... Netflix. (My family is broke, ok) This resulted in me being able to watch a few animes, like the Ranma 1/2 remake, which was actually my first romance manga (or the first one that left a decent impact on me) Since the second season haven't came out at the time, I yearned for the next season because the cliffhanger pissed me off. Luckily I found out the anime was actually a remake and the manga finished like... 40 something years ago. Luckily, I was able to find the original anime on YouTube, where I finished the series there. I like the remake (as it stands now) more though.
Funny thing, the original anime is still the longest series I've completed/catched up on. It's exhausting, which is probably why I like series with 1-2 seasons more. Also watch Scissor Seven
While that was happening, I found a little anime called CITY THE ANIMATION, while it is one of my favorite animes (and manga), it also had a little bit of a side effect. You see, after watching a silly web-show on Twitter, I unknowingly started a chain reaction that ended in me... reading Yuri. I'm not joking, this twitter web-show actually kick-started that whole Yuri mess I was in. By the time I saw CITY THE ANIMATION, I saw already yuri-minded... jokingly of course. Yuri, as a genre seemed like a joke used to mess with my friends about shipping them or whatever. This was already fueled by my het romance addiction as well, which I joking said "I watch them to cope" once. Either way, that silly joke would've stayed a joke, if it wasn't for one major breakthrough in my normie development...
...Which you'll hear more of in the next milestone!
It's getting late, and I rather wake up feeling less like I want to hang myself, so I'll just leave it like that. It's not like any of y'all care enough for a continuation anyway, right?
Either way, here's to plently of more pointless but fun times here.
Goodnight, Dex-chan lovers!
