Since this is a gag manga, I don't expect anything deep or tragic.
That's because this is just a hentai series, but without the actual explicitly depicted pornography.
There is no universe where this many red flags could coexist and not result in absolute catastrophe for the characters unless it was operating on Porn Logic.
Everything from the setup & exposition, to the relationship dynamics between the primary cast of characters, to even the internal monologues we get from them regarding the various plot developments, all point toward bad things happening for everyone:
- Mizuki gets found out for cheating on her husband with a minor -> divorce & prison
- Hinata gets found out for being sex friends with Mizuki -> loses her best friends, has her reputation trashed, ostracized & marginalized for the remainder of her school life (maybe even forced to drop out/transfer)
- Kazuki finds out her mom is cheating with her own crush -> ends up brokenhearted and in a broken home with a criminal mother and absent father
And that's before adding Mao into the mix.
Instead, we've had Hinata literally have sex with Mizuki in the bathroom right under both Mao & Kazuki's nose without getting found out; we have Hinata pretending Mizuki is some "friend named Miki" as a joke to ramp up the risky sexiness with her friend group, and when Sanae sniffs out the partial truth, she just shrugs it off; we have Mizuki constantly fretting over the fact she's committing infidelity with a minor but it's treated as a gag by the characters instead of the serious issue it actually is. There's a lot more, but that's just off the top of my head.
All of this is being taken very lightly by the author and subsequently the characters, and it all results from the logic of the world bending to justify the premise.
If anything, the only real crime is that this
isn't just straight hentai, so there would be actual sex scenes that would at least justify the lack of realism in the plot.
That being said, I don't know how to resolve this hot mess in a wholesome way. An amicable divorce, Hazuka moves on from Hinata and the main couple gets together?
I don't see this not ending in a way that justifies the selfishness of each character. Hinata is too titular of a character and too set on Mizuki to end up with Kazuki. Mao is...basically a rival for Hinata, and Mizuki will just bend over (literally) to whatever selfish whims Hinata forces on her, and even the truth of Kazuki's love for Hinata won't dissuade her.
It
should end in a powder keg of broken hearts and a broken home for Mizuki, but that would require the author changing the tone we've been fed for nigh thirty chapters now.
If serious things haven't happened before now, it's not going to start.
I honestly feel like Hinata will just end up "owning" both Mizuki and Kazuki in some sort of incest top/bottom harem situation, and the series will end with a threesome between them and no actual epilogue about what becomes of everyone.
Anything else would require realism that just doesn't exist.
