Dude, Genex is terrifying if you know how. I mean, I remember the legend of that one guy who somehow combo off Genex to a Trish or Crystal Wing..I think that's the problem with the kid, he didn't end it with fuck loads of monster effect negations and relying to much on GY set ups. Still, feels kind of shit losing to goddamn Fire Kings. Then again, I used to ran Fire King Nepthys so what do I know..

I think it was expected because shoma was on genex. The author didnt have the balls to show genex winning. Match ends in a minute if juukyu opened imperm.

why didn't shouma use that play of summoning the level 2 genex tuner to sync savage into train to steal on of jukyu monster?
sure there's that whole "no effect when fk is summoned" stuff, but surely there's a window for him to activate effect after jukyu summoned the second lvl 8 but before he overlay them
he prolly coulda survived
nvm, i just noticed that fk did all of that destroying on standby phase
and genex tuner only usable on main phase
the turn player get priority when going into main phase, so there's really no window for shouma to activate anything between the main phase starting to him summoning the r8

literally rely on link 1. no modern successful deck has such obvious chock point. not to mention you can easily brick with genex. modern fire king just ultimate grinding machine that keep floating and destroying.
