No. I just clicked saved and I saw my stuff was updated in the background, though sometimes it takes a minute. Like this.

I hit "save" and a loading spinner appears. After it finishes and I close the edit page, my page remains unchanged.

Try updating everything one at a time, I noticed it's much faster if you do it individually.

Tbh, I wonder why they didn't just make it the Forum PFP in the first place and store both at the same place.
