邪神 (Jashin) literally means Evil God (邪 (ja) means evil and 神 (shin) means God). The official title even says so. 邪神の孫 Jashin no Mago (Grandson of the Evil God)



If it were 魔王 (maou) it would be Demon Lord or Demon King.
