I do have to admit halfway through I thought it was gonna be a full on Confession (And I think the Trio thought so as well lmao "Friends? Who are they Kidding!?") but I am happy with that because even though they said "Friends" both of them certainly are looking forward to further developments.

Tons of rom-coms have a fireworks festival arc, but wow, this is one of the few drawn in a way where I really feel it. Masuda Eiji really is an amazing artist. All the edge lighting, the chromatic depth even in black and white, the perfectly framed skies. I don't think I've ever seen one done this well before. What an absolutely masterful result. And perfectly set for the first absolute win in the plot.
