i think the assumption is that even people who are directly informed don't really process that MC is literally an unstoppable blade. they hear he cut good, and that he's a super, and so they think that he's comparable to other combat capable supers. the cat girl follows him around everywhere, so she's a knower, but the princess is getting like, reports from people who are getting reports.

Does the princess know he's a super grade as well (and probably way above any known super grade known in this world)? It's been a while, but they also just mentioned that the king wasn't informed about the full extent of the MC's strength, so that's why he went ahead with the plan to get an alliance with these people. It could make sense that the princess is aware that he's powerful, but not as powerful as the legendary super grades...

MC power is recognized but there are no real witnesses of his actions and the reports from the country that "manage" him would be seen by the others as pumped up and automatically nerf his abilities, because is what they do.

I re-read a couple old chapter because after half a year I needed a refresh, to me it feels like the enemy country nobles planned all of this, if they got the princess it would end up with the kingdom having only idiot royals, they would have succesfully removed the only obstacle to future political manouvers and calmed down their berserker for a while, if MC appeared and killed their super grade they remove a lose cannon they can't get rid off, in both cases is a win win, having that guy in their country was more problems than his valor as a human weapon.
