Ominous. The prophecy of Nostradamus that's the plot hook for the series predicts that the king of terror will arrive in the seventh month of 1999. That calendar panel in the middle of Inubousaki feeling sick informs us that, in-universe, it is currently July of 1999 in the flashback. But I'm sure that's nothing to worry about.

On that note, I think it'd be pretty funny if the actual King of Terror foretold by Nostradamus was Gerai, but because of Asama spending the 24 year interval between Inubousaki's death and the present day feeding him ghosts and monsters by sending them through the tunnel to be eaten he's been kept in a decades-long food coma.

Whew. So girlies not doing good.... and the great king of terror certainly isn't something so small.

Its hard not to feel extra bad, with how. Upbeat she is. I find her very fun. Shes the kind of person I make friends with easy. But...

So she's infected with the sea mimic thing from before?
Might be something else. The Utsuro-bune had a fish eggs motif. The panel at the end of the chapter looks exactly like the barnacle-encrusted box from chapter 13.2.

Back in chapter 6.1 (the Utsuro-bune arc), Inubousaki said, "Well... As far back as I can remember, I've never liked bein' near water.", which is quite concerning now that she's suddenly saying she wants to go to the sea. Azuma said in this chapter, "This is only the beginning. More sinister events will follow...". And Gerai just suddenly woke up. So it looks like whatever has been possessing Inubousaki, as well as other entities, might also be waking up.
