My guess? Since ghosts exist in the story, that likely means gods and demons do too.

So, when you're dealing with someone that you call "Walking Calamity" there's really only four rational behaviours you can have.

1) You control him if you can manage to. In that case, Profit! Harness his powers for your objectives, whatever they are
2) You kill him to remove the problem. This is also a very rational thing to do if you feel that things could turn out very bad
3) You observe and study him. Often before choosing one the the other options.
4) If you cannot do any of the above, you panic and try to lie to him, convince him not to use his powers. This could be the case here, because they're not telling him what they know.

I wonder which of these situations we are in. I'm rather intrigued.

And I'm really, really curious to know what the hell is the deal with his sister. Has she been mind controlled? Has he been framed? Or she's just unstable/insane?

For such a silly manga, this has me rather invested I have to say....

Right now the only power he himself has shown is seeing ghosts. Sex severing the bond of the soul and the body allowing possession was a discovery by the cult leader. The bracelet that gives different powers depending on the soul inside is from the shrine.

Seeing ghosts isn't really an S-rank ability, so it should be something else. My guess is that it's a power that'll activate when he himself becomes a ghost. Might be the ability to forcibly possess someone or his own body again, thus the hacking part (+ other ghost powers as bonus). Pretty much making him an immortal.

His sister might hate him because a near death experience momentarily separated his soul from his body, and he caused a tragedy from the out of control power.

When his sister was tested, it was also all men, and one maybe woman.

Seems weird in a world that is going in a Matriarchal direction. And i get that only people born after 2000 can have powers. But 20-something years seems enough to start pushing the change.

More likely that his ability to swap souls is the OP part. They can instantly pretend to be the replaced person with little issue, and there's no known way (for them) to detect or reverse what he's done.

I mean, he did quite literally pull a deus ex machina last time. They even explicitly said it creates plot twists IRL.
Even if he was a nobody before, he's somebody now.

Ok I feel like under the specific circumstances it’s kinda B class so there HAS to be some kind of evolution of secondary activation we are unaware of that elevates it to being much higher. Unless it’s kinda going by SCP rules where the higher class can have very a specific activation situation BUT WATCH OUT if you’re in that specific situation you’re basically screwed.

I feel like these both are kinda hitting the nail on the head for how I feel. I mean assuming pointed out this ability and its use in espionage and whatnot is literally unmatched. And the ability to steal bodies? Oh yeah that's some crazy S-tier level stuff. And the whole actual literal "Deus Ex Machina" power that activated? I could see that being pretty high up.

But like the ACTIVATION of said ability to steal a body? That is pretty limiting, honestly. And he barely got off the whole "Deus Ex Machina" plot twist without dying.

I'd have classified his sisters "Instant goddamn death, no matter where you are" power FAR HIGHER given it doesn't seem to have any weird activation requirements crippling it as S-tier well before bros ability.

Well, this changes everything about ability class selection. It turns out the scientists there can manipulate the results, so perhaps some characters receive the same treatment as Hiroto.

Asou's ability (Soul Link) is parallel to Hiroto's, and she's in E Class.

Shiranami's ability (Storage) literally creates space and according to the principal she's the number one threat to Hiroto's stepsister. Guess what? She's in C Class. In my opinion, she's also the one who can stop Hiroto if he gets out of control.

And the conflict surrounding Hiroto's family, such as why his stepsister wants to kill Hiroto, will be related to Hiroto's ability.

There was always the question of why Hiroto's sister hasn't already killed him. Why she is bothering to wait a year.

If these guys are protecting him somehow, that might have something to do with it...

Or, as others have mentioned, her reason might not be out of hatred after all and her prediction ability has shown her an event that she will have to stop.

Anyway I wonder if his sister is aware of the true nature of his ability or if someone just told her to get rid of him without explanation, which is even crueler because she goes along with it without questioning it?
Also his sister is the bigger threat with her instant death ability yet she’s allowed to walk free? Without surveillance? Make it make sense

I am 90% certain they don’t know how his ability works or what conditions need to be met for him to use it. They only know what it is and what it does

If his nickname is calamity then he must he able to at least damage a nation on his own. It's way more complicated than just kiling individual ppl.

Why is his ability op? the main reason he's gotten this far is because he learned a pre-existing technique. And a piece of technology that he didn't even make.
Unless it evolves into something stronger I don't see how he could even A-class let alone s-class.

She very likely did know, and given all the hubbub around him recently, it would be suspicious if they hadn't ordered a retest, and him getting suspicious sounds like is the last thing they would want to happen.

Not really. I already predicted this since chapter one.. Like it's obvious some of these test results is fake.. Like how the F.. Hacking Ghost and that Deu Ex Machina guy is weak??

Obviously the system is corrupt.. Just look at it.. The system always discriminate against man.. Of course they will fake about the results..
