The first time around, the point of rubbing it in Kenji's face (other than due to unintentionally getting caught) was to make him discard those women and this world, and return to his original world. That backfired when Kenji flew into a destructive rage instead.

This mind control is different. Players, or isekai'd people, still retain their minds, but their actions are restricted. "NPCs," or natives of the world, can have their minds altered, but not players. This is more "curse of obedience" rather than "mind control." Naoto is currently in the process of exploring just how he can use that curse to manipulate the master/king.

Nah, Naoto's obsession with Kenji goes beyond just being good friends. It's one thing to do good things for a friend; it's another thing entirely to go to any depth of depravity for that friend's better good, whether or not that friend actually wants it.

Also it's not like he wanted to bang the new chick either which is a huge source of recent guilt for him. Like of course his guilty mind's going to be like "fuck man I'm sorry. I'll try and make it up to you somehow."

It just feels like people got hooked onto the idea of the genderswap/yaoi angle, because they didn't care to think about all the factors that go into the ongoing arc and everything that's led up to it before. I don't think there's anything wrong with that, and I don't really expect people to remember all the details of a series that's been getting updates for multiple years at this point (even I don't and I have a really good memory). Tbf, idc if there is a genderbent thing that happen, half that sentiment is born of my hatred for MC action, Hero doesnt deserve what happen to him in the first arc, and what will happen to him in this arc too. I just want Hero to be happy in one way or another even if it mean him getting the genderbent treatment
