The scans group was banned for paywalling chapters.

After the mass DMCA strike MD got last year, the staff no longer permits MD to be used as a means to make money by paywalling "advanced chapters" for any reason.

MD already made an example out of Asmodeus Scans. And more groups are being banned after that.

So, if paywalling content can get you banned, how is KDT still allowed? I remember before they changed to the silentquill website they did exactly that. Did they really stopped?

Hard to say, but If we go by the assumption that they stopped doing that, they either stopped before MD started enforcing that rule, or they recieved some kind of "ultimatum" and decided to stop doing it.

But that's only going by the assumption that they stopped. I don't really know of that's actually the case tho.

Seems the group that did those got the banhammer, and dex deletes the uploads of banned groups.

They did do an announcement on their Discord back in January 1st:

On Saturday night I was informed by KDT that we had received an upload ban to mangadex. After talking with Mangadex moderation staff via discord we were informed this was due to 2 factors.

1.) Implementing a website with a paywall in violation of their terms of service.
2.) Unreasonably long delays between uploading to our website, versus mangadex (some titles were nearly a 1/2 year behind getting uploaded to mangadex)

After speaking with their staff the team at mangadex has graciously given us an opportunity to correct these infractions. What that means is that from here on ALL of our manga content without exception will be 100% free and we will have no more than a 1 week time delay between uploads to silentquill and mangadex. (We've almost finished doing this there are only a couple straggler titles left that need to be brought current, I'm hoping it will all be done today)

All I know is that they are still uploading chapters for other series to Mangadex. I could not find anything on their Discord or site about this series.
