I always feel conflicted about the porn trope of, "This is a bit different from what I expected, because of porn. But if I try it like how they do it in porn, then I get a reaction just like porn."

Because on one hand, porn and real sex are two extremely different things. One should never go into having sex expecting it to be like porn. In the best case, you'll be disappointed, and in the worst case, someone could get seriously hurt.

It is genuinely potentially dangerous for porn to try and get people to believe that sex is just like porn.

But on the other hand... It is a porn story.

So it's only natural for there to be porn-like reactions, even if it is unrealistic.


But either way, this confliction takes me out of the story, so I really wish porn writers would stop including it.
