Sensei, are you an AniList guy? I don't have the patience to migrate all my content from MAL. I also don’t know if it’s worth it

Just use what it suits you better, I've already said it before but I simply prefer it. In the end, it's just a tracker. Just a back-up in case my hard drives stop working all at once. Well, not like I've added everything or everything in there is something I'd rewatch...

what's Banana's hangup with AniList? i use it because MAL only allows rating titles by integers (1-10), whereas on AniList i can use decimals (and i do!!)

But I use decimals... check it yourself (I just use .5 though). I simply know that Banban snapped in the past at some links.

I'm just not sure if I want to start using AniList instead of MAL. From what I've gathered, the majority of people these days prefer AniList.

Are you in it for the socialization or just listing? Because if it's just the list then Anilist would probably be good. Though I barely used it so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

I don't hate Anilist lol. I don't know where this came from, if anything I dog on MyAnimeList at every opportunity I get (even though I use it).

Somehow I read the decimals part in a reversed order. So MAL is like MangoDex? Who knew, at least I don't rate everything with a 10 on AniList. Don't worry, once I saw those grasses I had no doubts.

i don't socialize on AniList, but from what i've seen it seems to skew younger and is filled with impressionable mentally ill cretins. i say this as a descriptor, not with any sentiment.

I don't know, that's why I said to take my opinion with a grain of salt since I don't really use Anilist. All I know is there's a decently sized user base on MAL, especially on the forums.

i think rating in increments of 0.25 is ideal actually, but i do it by 0.5.

The way MAL phrases the grades makes my scores much lower than yours. For example, a 7 is pretty good in my book and worth the time.

Surprisingly enough, the OG trainwreck anime actually did a epilogue OVA special that's anime original. Neither the visual novel nor 2006 version had something like an after story like this. I thought it was decent so maybe try checking it out after finishing the actual anime.

i try to rate titles in 5 areas (from 1-10 in increments of 0.25) and then average the scores.
the areas are:
1. Story
2. Characters
3. Animation
4. Sound
5. Enjoyment

however there can be a lot of overlap between areas, and not all are of equal importance, so i sometimes adjust the final score a bit

Well, it's probably the fact that I don't use imperial units, for me decimals are the most common thing.

I tend to rate things higher and of course I don't bother rating things below 6. And with the Catalan dub, any series gets better.

I just go with biased ratings (enjoyment and meme rating), so I can rate with a ten badly aged hentai.

Wow, I'm embarrassed by my grading system now. I only consider overall enjoyment and how it makes me feel.
