As I understand it since he's been so close to Kinjo their reputations are closely linked and so if he wants to save his own standing he needs Kinjo back in good graces. But yeah he's not really a good guy for that...

at least he does have a conscience but unless he's stuck becoming like a konbini worker or so, it's prolly gonna be hard for him to find a job in a similar industry since he doesn't have plausible deniability/was there when kinjo and karin met, other flings aside lol
