You can bet there are. Especially from industry regulators.

Luckily the way to prove it is by taking regular samples, checking for impurities and if there's none, going by weight of microbe vs sample size. Really simple stuff, really easy to tell if a batch has been diluted or contaminated too so results are very consistent.

we always did cell counts by diluting the sample and still manually counting the cells. Of course that just means doing like ~4 counts for a very large sample but it was manual. Of course there are also automatic counters in industry but university classes didn't have that means
