The whole viewership thing is really weird. Like there's a whole world of gods that are so bored that they'll watch some nobody come from another world just to see what they do and it has viewer ratings? Then he essentially signed a 15 year peeping tom contract that allows them to watch everything?

The story would have been better if they had been caught interfering and the original summoning/transferring god intervened. As it stands is seems like neither his original world or this one are real and he's just a crossover character in a program and has been given some sentience.

It's sad because this manga was amazing until those two chapters. Like seriously you can cut those 2 out and a few pages and the manga would be amazing again. Plus him going back made no sense when he literally proposed a few moments ago. 🤔

Honestly I getting it. But the thing that bugs me is that they can literally control him. If he is in a computer program couldn't he just override their control? The more I think about it. the less those 2 chapters make no sense. Especially to the established laws of this world. They already have established gods. so why are things above them that no one can talk about? 😵‍💫

From what was implied so far, he is not IN a computer program, he is one himself, as is every other character and the two (or more) entire worlds. Also, even if he were real and only somehow interacted with the simulated reality, why would he be able to "override control" from a user with higher priviliges? If anything, it's weird they actually seem to require his consent for this farce to continue.

I'm confused about the administrator calling this the fourth option. How exactly did it differ from the third option? His issue was with the memory tampering on Liz, and that's a non negotiable part of the deal.

I'm reading it again and was the proposal something that didn't include Liz but only children to get access to the private network to be able to move back and forth? Or maybe it's more lenient with the memory tampering, only preventing knowledge about each world from being unnecessarily shared whatever that means? He's saying they've conceded quite a bit, but it's only about being able to bring some other items and maybe knowledge.

It's also quite strange that death on Earth can be cancelled, but death in the other world cannot. They probably could achieve this in both world, but have set it up this way so that he doesn't die while "off season"; I guess the viewership is interested in his life in the other world nor in his original world, so they can't have the star die outside of the otherworld.

I can't remember the earlier presentation, but the servers and administration was mostly meant as an analogy. Though I guess it could just be seen as data and everything being a simulation. Regardless, it appears that the individuals living in the servers have free will, despite the ability to tamper with their memories, hence the farce.

Lol 😆 guess you forgot he overrided the mana safeties. When he used multiple air guns on the wolves. Like I said the more you think about it the less it makes sense.

The past couple of chapters kind of ruin the story a bit. i’m sad it’s going to become a world-hopping isekai. i tend to pass on them. hopefully they decide “nah we won’t use the power” or something.

It's not, he already conceded that, by accepting the excuse that it's meant to "prevent unnecessary inflow of civilization".

I'm reading it again and was the proposal something that didn't include Liz but only children to get access to the private network to be able to move back and forth? It says both him, his wife and their children would be able to travel to Earth, so it most likely only applies to the period of time before they are all moved back there permanently. From his perspective the concession is probably the fact that he can stay with them after going back to Earth permanently when the contract is over. For some reason, he seems to think that gets him outside of their (and whatever "viewers") reach, which seems absurd, given they referred to Earth as another data center...

It's also quite strange that death on Earth can be cancelled, but death in the other world cannot. It's not that it cannot. If they sold it as some sort of unscripted "reality show" that's supposed to stick to the consequences of events, then reviving him would be seen as a cop-out.

It's could have been seen as an analogy right up until it was revealed there's apparently a market-driven industry behind this, rather than just individual god-like beings amusing themselves. Right now it doesn't make sense to see this as anything else than some advanced civilization simulating all of humanity and the worlds it lives in, porobably on something like Jupiter Brains. The MC does not seem to grasp this for some reason.

HE didn't. The so called gods handled that for him. They were even discussing the very same thing before it happened.

The options presented were terrible, 1 We erase your memories and send you back to Earth, 2 we put you in an alternate timeline, where you can go back and forth between worlds but we mess with memories so no one thinks it's weird, or 3 we make an alternate timeline that lets you take your GF back to Earth, think about it, you can introduce your kids to your parents but we fuck with the memories of everyone.

There was always stuff higher than the local Gods, they told him on day one, that they couldn't explain where he came from, only someone higher up could have plugged him into their world.
