Yotaka's earlier design is so much better. She looks like a fat pig now. All I see when I look at her is wasted potential and I feel disgusted.
It's so much worse when someone with good genes lets themselves go and becomes a fat , disgusting mess and doesn't look after their body. At least when a person with bad genes lets themselves become fat you can sympathise since they didn't have much chance even if they took care of themselves.

While I do like Yotaka's early design, it's something I've seen before and I probably wouldn't have been as invested in the series as I am now. So I think it was for the best that the author went for out of shape, past her prime Yotaka

it would not have worked with the setting of a retired washed up assassin. she would have been too young for any of the stuff current Yotaka is doing. her current design fits the narrative much better
